About R.A.L.F. and Separation Technologies

R.A.L.F. was built to educate kids about the environmental concerns that effect all of us. R.A.L.F. and his friends from Separation Technologies travel around the country doing presentations in classrooms and auditoriums letting everyone know how big a difference they can make by going Bright Green! It’s not just the right thing to do, Bright Green is an exciting way to use small changes in our every day lives to make a big difference for our future. It’s one of the most important things we can do.

Separation Technologies was founded in 1989 to develop commercial applications for a proprietary electrostatic separation process invented by a company founder. By 1994, we were focused on applying our emerging separation technology to process fly ash for use in commercial applications rather than being disposed of in landfills. Since 1995, Separation Technologies has commercially operated successful coal fly ash separation.

In 2002, Separation Technologies became part of the Titan America family of businesses. Titan America is one of the premier cement, concrete and building materials producers in the eastern United States. Titan America is part of the Titan Group, whose parent company is Greece-based Titan Cement Company S.A. Worldwide. The Titan Cement Company annually produces more than 15 million tons of construction materials.
